Patrick Stoup, the CEO of Staffing Alternatives, Inc., has managed all daily operations of the company as well as its strategies and business development for almost 20 years. Outside of his professional obligations, Patrick Stoup is an avid traveler. He has visited many countries, but is especially fond of Switzerland and making the trip to the Jungfraujoch.
The Jungfraujoch, or “Top of Europe,” is the highest train station in all of Europe. Located more than 11,332 feet above sea level, it is nestled between the neighboring Mönch and Jungfrau mountains in the surrounding UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. The only way to access the Jungfraujoch station is by cogwheel train, a popular trip for tourists.
The Jungfraujoch is much more than a train station. It is home to the Sphinx observatory, where visitors can enjoy a complete 360-degree view of the iconic surrounding landscape. Several restaurants are available, and there are a number of different hikes and tours to choose from.
Nearby, a sculpted ice palace known as the Eispalast houses a menagerie of ice sculptures as well as a fully stocked bar made from ice. Admission to the ice palace is free for Jungfraujoch passengers.
